WHAT IS…
Unified Esports League (UESL) is a San Diego Regional Center approved vendor that provides gaming and technology education for people with IDD throughout San Diego County. UESL is working to expand its services to those who live in Imperial County and needs support from the community of Imperial to complete this expansion.
“We are an in person social recreation program that provides service Monday-Friday year round”, says founder Matthew Iske. “We work with people ages 8-adult on a 1:3 staff to student ratio. We specialize in creating opportunity and access for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to make friends, play on a team, and explore their passions in gaming and technology. The coolest part is all locations for service participate on a team, they get their own team name, and professionally designed team jersey. It creates a powerful sense of community for those that love video games to not only meet people on their team to but to also meet people across the county as they participate in virtual and physical events with other UESL teams.”
